Bralettes and athleisure are still massive trends in both lingerie and general fashion, but these soft, usually unstructured pieces can leave full-bust customers wanting more: more structure, more shaping, more lift, and more support. Another major current lingerie trend is bras with an overlay over the cup, like the Natori ‘Feathers‘, which features molded cups with sheer mesh overlays. These overlays are both fashion elements (they change the shape of the neckline) and functional elements (they can provide additional support and stability, especially for those with softer breast tissue, or someone for whom the top edges of molded cups tend to gape away from their bodies). I personally really like how the overlay can soften and smooth the line of a rigid cup edge under clothing.
This construction technique — a structured bra with fabric overlay that changes the look of the bra — is a great way for those full-bust customers who are unsatisfied with bralettes to get the look of a bralette with the support and shaping they like in their underwired bras. These bras provide both the complex supportive structure that many fuller bust folks want, as well as the simple, on-trend look of a crop top. Seeing the first style in this list pop up at Bravissimo last week prompted me to do a quick roundup of some current crop top styles that caught my eye. I know there are more crop top styles scheduled to hit stores later this year (keep an eye in particular on Panache Swim!); do any of these catch your eye?

Cleo Sofia Crop Top Bra, 28 E-H, 30 DD-J, 32-38 D-J (UK sizes). This style will be available in cobalt blue later this year, and it’s a great way for DD+ folks to get the Savage x Fenty look in their sizes.
