This lookbook is presented mostly without comment, except for little moans of longing.
Okay, a little more comment: Maraki Intimates is based in Australia, the official launch is supposed to happen soon, bras will be available in sizes 8-14 D-G (30-36 D-G UK) in prices ranging from AUD$109-130 (about $85-105 in USD), knickers are available in three different rises (high, medium, and low) in prices ranging from AUD$85-130 (about USD$65-105), and I would like one of everything, starting with the Double Paramount Longline Bra and a pair of the Paramount Suspender Middies, please. It’s all really good, y’all, and these jaw-dropping images are making me seriously reconsider my no-more-bra-buying-for-a-few-months resolution.
I’m pretty dazzled by the flawless mix of strapping, sheer mesh, colorblocking, polka dots, and that staggeringly pretty, almost stained-glass-looking, print. The collection features a mashup of some of the most popular lingerie trends over the last few seasons, remixed and recombined in creative ways to create a distinctive new look. The way the strapping is used to highlight, conceal, and reveal different parts of the body is gorgeous: architectural and delicate all at the same time. It’s a ground-breaking, fashion-forward new voice for D+ sizes. I haven’t seen a debut collection from a full-bust brand that wowed me like this since Sunday Intimates (RIP), and I’m crossing all my fingers and toes that Maraki Intimates will make it into production and into a few more seasons. What do you think of “All Hot Air”?

June 24, 2015 at 8:52 am (8 years ago)I love these pieces so much, and I love even more that they’re available in a size that will (almost…sister sizing!) fit me! The straps, the colours, the shapes – they’re all gorgeous. I’ll be definitely getting at least one piece from collection when they’re available.

June 24, 2015 at 12:41 pm (8 years ago)I know that the bondage trend is “over,” but that reticulate harness bra WILL be mine.Even if I have to mortgage my firtsborn to get it.

June 24, 2015 at 1:40 pm (8 years ago)I hope they do well, but I’ve seen enough strappy/harness bras that my brain is burned out. I love the Carapace design but it’s overwhelmed in my piddly mind by all those straps.

June 29, 2015 at 2:18 pm (8 years ago)Oh, wow… *moans of longing*. This. I like lace, but clean lines and bright colors have always been so much more “me”. I just feel silly in something that’s too frou-frou, as pretty as it might be. I also think this is a refreshing approach to the bondage look. It’s not overdone/costumey to my eye, and the pieces don’t look just like every other cage bra out there. The incorporation of color really makes it stand out to me- it doesn’t all have to be only black! I would feel sooo powerful and confident in these, and more importantly, very much still myself. *swoons* Take my money, please! I wonder if I can justify it for a trousseau for my wedding next year?
