I know this bra doesn’t come in the full size range I usually cover, but hello:
This is really, really darling.
What Katie Did, based in London and Los Angeles, specializes in modern reproductions of vintage lingerie styles like cone and bullet bras, high-waist tap panties, and supportive garter belts, plus, of course, their super-popular ready-to-wear corsets (a few styles, like Storm, Laurie, and Sophia, are even available with extra room in the cups for fuller busts up to a UK G-cup!). While I have yet to try a WKD style for myself, I’ve given them as gifts, and I highly recommend their products, prices, and customer service.
Classic cone and bullet bras can be really tricky to fit and wear. For one thing, the silhouette is incredibly pronounced, which can be hard for some 21st century women to get used to. Furthermore, the shape of the bra itself is demanding, and sometimes women with certain breast shapes have trouble getting a great fit. With the Liz collection, the What Katie Did design team takes the basics of a classic retro bra: no underwires, high apex, and a single horizontal seam in the cup, and renders it in stretch mesh with light padding that provides a softened retro shape and an easier fit.
Also, that color, right? This whole set is like The Little Mermaid crossed with Agent Carter (speaking of which, What Katie Did supplied the Agent Carter wardrobe department)! The peach trim coordinates with other What Katie Did peach lingerie pieces, and the lavender is so fresh and cheerful. The bra is available in sizes 32-36 C-DD and 38 C-D, with panties and garter belt in sizes 6-14 (US), and it might be worth your while to check in with the What Katie Did customer service team, as their bras fit slightly differently from some modern brands.
Have you tried What Katie Did lingerie or corsets before? What do you think?
