Sweet Nothing Du Jour 1/14/15: Maison Lejaby Attrape-Coeur

Happy New Year, everyone! Please join me in welcoming a new year and a new lingerie season, and also join me in salivating over this complete thing of beauty:

Attrape-Coeur by Maison LejabyThis is the Attrape-Coeur (“heart-catcher” in English) collection from Elixir by Maison Lejaby, and the more I look at it the more I love it. It’s been offered in beige and red before, and as cute/kitschy as the red was, I think it looks unbelievably wonderful in black.

Here’s a product shot so we can see the details.

Oh my gosh, it’s just gorgeous. I’m a new Maison Lejaby convert, and while this lovely set doesn’t come in my size (it runs up to an F cup in European sizes, and based on my experience I’d compare it to UK cup sizes F, FF, or G, depending on band size), it’s already one of my favorite sets I’ve seen this year. I love the almost baroque swags and opulent heart embroidery, and how rendering them in delicate sheer mesh makes the whole set feel light and decadent at the same time.

Lejaby bras are on the expensive side (the bra alone retails for $114 at Figleaves), but having tried both the Idole and Theodora styles, I can confirm that the quality is outstanding. Also there’s that holiday coming up in February that people associate with lingerie, so if you have a partner who is looking for a gift idea, maybe point them this way?

Oh and also there’s a babydoll.

That felt important to share.

I love this collection … unfortunately, it cuts out at an F cup so doesn’t fit me 🙁

Figleaves have some wonderful alternatives though that are great for the coming v-day!

I was lucky enough to try this on the other day, and can confirm that it’s beautiful in person. It also runs big in the cup. I had to sister-size due to needing a G cup in the French brands (including a Simone Perele and another Maison Lejaby that I tried at the same time, both of which fit perfectly), and the F cup one band up was a little too large for me.
