A friend sent the following to me, with accompanying laments, and I looked at it, shuddered, and dashed it from my memory. Then the lovely Curvy Wordy shared it on Instagram, where it offended my delicate sensibilities all over again. Are you ready?

This literally hurts my brain. And that is not a misuse of literality; my brain is ceasing to function and is sputtering into incoherent babbling while it works overtime to try to make sense of the brief yet tortured sentence in this ad. And then it just gives up.
I don’t totally understand what the joke is (although props for better-fitted bras than usual!), but I THINK … I think they’re trying to pun on the fact that they have a line called “Body”, and the models have bodies, and those models’ bodies are rather lovely. Yes? Is that a pun? Um, good one? However:
THIS IS NOT HOW YOU MAKE A PLURAL, VICTORIA’S SECRET!
I’m done now. I’m going to go lie down.
In related news, Erica got some grief on one of her videos criticizing Victoria’s Secret fit techniques, so she and Dezi did as her critics suggested and tried Victoria’s Secret bras. It went about as well as you’d imagine it would, so I definitely recommend checking out her report.

When the first “Their bras are special” came in, I was ready to dismiss it, but I swear between Youtube, the blog, and email, I had over a dozen people tell me the same thing, all of them claiming to be current or former fit experts. What disturbs me more is that these fitters though the 38C I was wearing just needed a few small tweaks to fit AND that VS bras were that different from other manufacturers. But, the proof is in the pudding as they say . . .
