Lingerie Fashion Week returns to New York City in a little under two weeks! I had such a wonderful time covering the shows back in February, and I’m thrilled to have been invited back to cover the Spring/Summer 2014 presentations and runway shows! It’s a wonderful whirlwind of a weekend, a chance to meet other passionate people in the lingerie industry, and the opportunity to discover brands you may not have heard of before.
This year some of the events are open to the public, including runway shows and the closing party! Tickets are available here. I’ll be attending, well, everything, so if you’d like to come see one of the presentations above and rub shoulders with designers, stylists, models, journalists, and bloggers, I’d love to meet you! 10% of all ticket sales are being donated to Bright Pink, “the only national non-profit organization focusing on the risk reduction and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women while providing support for high-risk individuals.” The lovely Lingerie Addict is the official digital media partner for LingerieFW, and I can’t wait to finally meet her in person, as well as hang out with some of my talented lingerie blogger friends.
The lineup features a really great mix of larger brands, new luxury lines, local brands (NaiS was one of my favorites from last year!) and indie designers. I’m excited to see the Bradelis and Secrets in Lace runway shows, as well as the pop-up art exhibit during the closing party. I’m also obviously looking forward to the Parfait/Affinitas closing runway show, both because I want to see items I might actually be able to wear, and also because I’m hoping they’ve fixed some of my concerns about last year’s show (namely, it was boring, and also the lingerie didn’t fit).
Are you attending LingerieFW? What are you most excited to see?
