You guys, seriously, there is SO MUCH pretty lingerie out right now. I must share it with you, if only to have people to gush over it with. I was inspired by The Lingerie Addict’s week of holiday shopping guides as well as Holly’s at The Full-Figured Chest which features gorgeous indie designers. Since I know some people still have gifts to give, I thought I’d break my holiday choices down into categories, to make Santa’s job a bit easier, you know? Let’s kick things off with some beautiful choices for women with smaller busts who are looking for sexy, elegant, festive lingerie to dazzle in this season. I’ll follow up with some picks for fuller busts, fuller figures, and maternity over the coming week. I hope you enjoy!
Note: For purposes of this post, “smaller bust” refers to women who wear band sizes in a 28-38 range and cup sizes (approximately) in the AA-D range, although some of the items pictured below also come in additional sizes.
First up, from Meg at Midnight, a beautiful lace bra with a pattern that reminds me of bare winter tree branches outlined against the sky:
Next up, from Dottie’s Delights, calling all Sugar Plum Fairies:
Looking for hues in a more angelic range? (Also, please notice how freaking many accessories are available. This is why I love Mimi Holliday— you can really build a lingerie ensemble that suits your individual tastes).
For the very petite bust, a classic, elegant design in berry pink with black guipure lace from Lula Lu:
Finally, this? This right here, from Huit? This might be my single favorite piece of lingerie released this year.
If this came in my size, I would own the HELL out of it. It’s simultaneously architectural and delicate, feminine and severe, practical and frivolous, retro and modern. The other pieces in the set are lovely too, but the longline bra, with its plunging back and removable straps, has stolen my heart.
Bonus #6, some of the other pieces in the Rumeur collection.
